UCI delegation arrived in Uzbekistan

Thus, the main purpose of the business visit of the foreign delegation is to get acquainted with the sports complex in Jizzakh, specializing in one of the types of cycling – BMX.

The delegation consisted of 4 people (2 specialists and 2 professional cyclists): Norman Leslie McCann, Kyle Jordan Stuart Evans, Giacomo Fantoni and Matthew Keane Gilston. Athletes will personally test the track and share their impressions. After that, foreign experts will prepare a general conclusion.

If the sports facility complies with all international standards and norms, then representatives of the Cycling Federation of Uzbekistan will receive an official UCI certificate giving the right to hold various international competitions in this arena.

Recall that the BMX sports complex in Jizzakh was fully commissioned in 2021. The arena is designed for 3,400 seats. The complex also has conference and gyms, a VIP area, 2 tennis courts, 2 mini-football pitches and a 100-seat hotel. It should be noted that there are only 32 such facilities in the world, and in this regard our country will become the owner of the 33rd sports complex in a row that meets all international standards.
