
Uzbekistan’s Para-Judokas Win 5 Medals at World Championships in Kazakhstan
The Para Judo World Championships, currently underway in Kazakhstan, have brought together 300 athletes from 38 countries. Uzbekistan’s national team made a strong statement during the latest day of competition, securing five medals across various weight categories.
In the women’s -60 kg (J1) division, Ulzhon Amriyeva claimed gold, delivering a standout performance. Kemran Nurillaev also took gold in the men’s -64 kg (J2) category.
Two silver medals were earned by Sherzod Namozov (-64 kg) and Davurkhon Karomatov (-95 kg), while Mokhinur Farmonova added a bronze to the tally in the +70 kg division.
These results further solidify Uzbekistan’s growing presence in international para sports, with the athletes continuing to showcase resilience, skill, and determination on the world stage.
