Persepolis FC's matchwinner Isa Al Kasir tops the OPTA rankings for this week as the striker scored the tie's only goal as the Tehran giants eliminated home side Al Sadd SC following a 1-0 win on Sunday.
The 30-year-old forward, who was also nominated for the Matchday Six Toyota Player of the Week award, netted for the second time in consecutive matches and he was a constant threat up front for the IR Iran side with five shots on goal, two aerials won and two duels won for his 7.7 OPTA rating.
Swiss striker Eren Derdiyok (above) was also on target over the weekend and the Pakhtakor man is next up after earning a 7.5 score as his goal helped the Uzbek club to a first quarter-final place since 2009.
The 32-year-old was in the thick of the action in Saturday's 2-1 win over Esteghlal as he also made two recoveries, won two duels, one foul and an aerial duel.
Derdiyok's teammate Sardor Sobirkhodjaev (above) wraps up OPTA's top three as the midfielder put in an impressive performance in the Round of 16 tie.
The Uzbekistan international was heavily involved in the tie and registered 73 passes, five duels won, four recoveries and one chance created to earn himself a 7.2 rating from OPTA.
Similarly, Awad Al Faraj (below) was not on the scoresheet for Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr in their 1-0 win over Al Taawoun, but his all-round game shone brightly. The 32-year-old won six duels, made three recoveries, created two chances for teammates and made one interception.
Persepolis goalkeeper Hamed Lak, who registered a 7.2, kept a cleansheet against Al Sadd and made three saves, while Shabab Al Ahli midfielder Azizjon Ganiev also found the net in the Emirati side's defeat to Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia for his 7.1 rating.
Rounding off the Round of 16 top performers were Al Nassr's Abdulmajeed Al Sulaiheem and Al Sadd's Santi Cazorla, who registered 7.1 and 6.9 OPTA scores respectively.
