In July of this year, at the initiative of the management of Uzbekneftegaz Joint-stock company, repair work was started on the central arena of the Bunyodkor Stadium with the aim of holding matches of the U-20 Asian Cup, home games of the Bunyodkor football club and the national team of Uzbekistan in March 2023.

In a short time, the stadium area was completely rebuilt. Engineering communications have been updated, and the field level has risen by 1 meter. A lawn was laid to suit our new local climate. Currently, the area around the field and places for reservists are being prepared in a new modern style
