When will FC Sogdiana Stadium open?

The League's experts visited Jizzakh on January 26. The purpose of this was to study the process of preparing the Sogdiana stadium and the club residence for the season.

By the 2022 season, negative changes were noticeable in the condition of the lawn of the main stadium in Jizzakh. Based on this, in June last year, the league officially announced to the club that the matches of the 2023 Super League season will not be held on this field. It was planned that by the end of the year Sogdiana would host the AFC Cup competitions in Jizzakh. It was taken into account that the club is participating in the international arena for the first time.

In the spring of 2022, a new lawn was laid on the field of the regional school of football excellence, and this lawn was supposed to be cared for on the main field of the province for 1 year. According to the agreement between the league and the club, repair work at the Sogdiana Stadium began at the end of the 2022 season, and they are still actively continuing. Today, the league submitted a statement to Sogdiana about the existing shortcomings at the stadium and at the club's headquarters. They should be eliminated by the end of February this year.

According to experts, by May 1, the Sogdiana field will be ready to host Super League meetings. Before that, the club must submit to the league the name of the stadium where its home matches will be temporarily held until February 1.
