World and Asian champion Bakhodir Jalolov recognized as Best Athlete of the Year

Two-time Asian super heavyweight champion and defending World champion Bakhodir Jalolov triumphed in the event. Fast-rising heavyweight star Bakhodir Jalolov received the Best Athlete of the Year award in men's category. 

The 25-year-old Uzbek boxer represented Uzbekistan in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he was honored as his country’s flagbearer at the Opening Ceremonies. Compiling an impressive 84-13 amateur record, Jalolov was a four-time National champion from 2013-2016.

He won gold medals in last two editions of the Asian Amateur Boxing Championships as he claimed a gold medal at the 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championships in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Since turning professional in May 2018, the heavy-handed southpaw has quickly impressed boxing fans across the country with highlight reel knockouts in his all six fights.
