Uzbek boxers start President’s Cup campaign successfully

Uzbekistan’s amateur boxers started their winning campaign at the sixth edition of the President’s Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana on Tuesday.

More than 160 boxers from 15 countries including India, China, Russia, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, USA, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are taking part in this tournament.

Bouts are being organized in men's 10 weight categories and women’s four weight categories.

Uzbekistan’s Aliyor Noraliev faced Oyatullo Yakubov from Tajikistan in the preliminaries at the Light welterweight as he defeated his rival by unanimous decision win.

Mahmud Gaipov of Uzbekistan earned a confident win over Dineh from India at the Welterweight.
