Fazliddin Gaibnazarov’s opponent replaced six days before the fight

Super lightweight Gaibnazarov (7-1, 4 KOs), who captured Olympic gold for his native Uzbekistan in 2016, should face Mauro Maximiliano Godoy (32-5, 17KOs) in a scheduled eight-round bout.

However, Mauro Godoy refused to visit Kazakhstan and cancelled the bout. But, Fazliddin Gaibnazarov will contest with Javier Mercado of Mexico (26-15, 23 KOs) at the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace in Almaty next Monday.
