FC Pakhtakor's ex-goalkeeper Yuri Pshenichnikov dies aged 80

Pshenichnikov joined Pakhtakor side from the first years of the team's history and played in more than 200 matches for the Lions in the 1960-1967 years.

He was named as one of the best goalkeepers in the history of Uzbek football.

Pshenichnikov earned 19 caps for the USSR national football team and participated in UEFA Euro 1968. And, he was awarded Soviet Goalkeeper of the Year 1968 with CSKA Moscow.
