FC Neftchi earned an initial point in 2017 Uzbekistan Oliy League

Today the second fixture of 2017 Uzbekistan Oliy League started with three games took place in Fergana, Tashkent, and Samarkand.

After a lost to FC Shurtan in the opening match of the tournament, the Fergana-based FC Neftchi hosted the first official match of the season at the Istiklol stadium, Fergana. More than 8 thousand home crowd visited the stadium to support their favorite team, but they did not witness any goals before the final whistle.

FC Neftchi improved their army with three new foreign players from Belarus Premier League ahead of this season. However, they did not show their high game phase at the stadium as they need some time to adapt to new team and environment.

During the 90-minute goalless game, both teams had even goal chances to open the score but a lack of finishing these moments into goals was the almost big problem for the strikers.
