Former player of Liverpool close to joining Uzbekistan's FC Pakhtakor

Georgian Shota Arveladze penned a 18-month contract with FC Pakhtakor who added Montenegrin Marko Semic into their side ahead of the second phase of Uzbekistan Oliy Liga.

44 year-old head coach wants to improve his side with the former player of Liverpool and Ajax Ryan Babel.  played for Turkish premier league club Kasımpaşa under the coaching of Shota Arveladze in 2013-2015.

Babel is currently playing for Beşiktaş in Turkish premier league. He scored five goals for Istanbul-based team in 18 matches.
