Uzbek cyclists earn the first place at the International Cycling Marathon in Kazakhstan
Ust-Kamenogorsk city hosted the International Cycling Marathon dedicated to the 20th year anniversary of Kazakhstan’s capital city, Astana. More than 140 athletes and 19 cycling teams from Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, participated in this prestigious tournament.
Uzbekistan national cycling team members M.Kholmurodov, D.Siddikov, A.Izmaylov, S.Medvedev, D. Zabirov and A.Sunnatov took part in competitions headed by the senior coach A.Abdurahimov.
According to the press service of the Federation of Cycling Federation, Uzbek cyclist M. Kholmurodov took the first place in the 3rd stage (90 km) and became the 2nd in the 5th stage (170 km) as he finished the event with the second place in the overall standings. D. Siddikov was awarded the most active cyclist title of the tournament. In the overall ranking, Uzbekistan national cycling team claimed the first place in the competition.
