Uzbekistan's athletes claim 16 medals at the Asian Kurash Championship

Uzbekistan’s athletes claimed 16 medals at the Asian Kurash Championship took place in Puna, India.

Nearly 250 kurash wrestlers from more than 20 countries struggled for medals in 15 weight classes during the 10th edition of the continental competition.

 In men’s division, Muhsinbek Khisomiddinov, Farid Amrulloev, Ruslan Buriev, Davlat Abraev, Ilhom Juraev became Asian champions in their respective weight categories.

Gulnora Sulaymonova, Omongul Ollonazarova, Mukhlisa Abdumalikova, Gulnoza Matniyazova and Rahim Yuldosheva earned gold medals in women’s division.

Nurbek Turaev, Maruf Gaybullaev, Dildora Shermetova, Adibahon Urozbayeva and Rinata Ilmatova lost in the finals and were awarded silver medals, while their compatriot Temurkhon Turaev gained bronze medals.
