An 8-year-old Uzbek chess player won prizes in two categories at the tournament held in Singapore
On July 20, 2024, in connection with the 100th anniversary of FIDE, a chess marathon was organized worldwide. The main goal of the organizers was to enter the Guinness Book of Records for the most chess games played in 24 hours. Grandmasters or amateurs could also participate in this marathon.
In particular, on July 20, a tournament was organized in Singapore in connection with the 100th anniversary of FIDE (FIDE 100 GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS). 3 women and 3 chess players from each age group were awarded in the general list of this competition.
Fortunately, chess players from Uzbekistan also participated in this tournament. Asilbek Abdulazizov, Asmirakhan Abdulazizova and Asmina Abdulazizova are among them. Our compatriots competed for prizes with chess players from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and India.
It is noteworthy that our 8-year-old chess player Asmina Abdulazizova won prizes in 2 categories: a silver medal among 8-year-olds and a silver medal in the Ladies Group.
Also, 16-year-old Asmirakhan Abdulazizova took first place in the Ladies Group category.
