Saken Polatov from Uzbekistan appointed as ASBC Fund & Development Commission Chairman
The First Vice-President of the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation and ASBC EC member Mr. Saken Polatov was appointed as Chairman of the new Commission.
The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and Vice-President of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Mr. Anas Alotaiba informed all National Federations about the new development strategies in a letter earlier this week. The ASBC President decided to launch this new Commission to the longer-term developments of our sport.
A specific amount of fund has been allocated in the next year’s ASBC budget which will be used by the new Fund & Development Commission. The additional amount will be supported the developing Asian National Federations in 2021 to continue to reach their goals and their progress in several aspects of boxing.
The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation decided to cover and support the developing teams’ participations in the ASBC Championships, the equipment support, the educational courses and any other kind of logistical developments upon requests and the decision of the new Commission.
Five experienced officials have been appointed to work in the new ASBC Fund & Development Commission and handle the special aid for the National Federations. These officials are represented all of the five Asian regions as East, West, South, Central and Southeast in order of the fair play.
The First Vice-President of the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation Mr. Saken Polatov is member of the ASBC Executive Committee who will be joining to the new ASBC Fund & Development Commission as Chairman. The Secretary General & COO of the Association of the Boxing Alliances in the Philippines, Mr. Edgar Picson is also ASBC Executive Committee member and has got strong boxing knowledge and organizational skills. The third ASBC EC member in the Commission is Mr. Fawzi Asafra, the President of the Palestine Boxing Federation.
The Executive Director of the Boxing Federation of India and Mr. Anas Alotaiba’s advisor Mr. Raj Kumar Sacheti will represents the South Asian region in the commission. Mr. Billy Vong is Macau’s boxing engine who is arranging the Macau Open Boxing Tournament in the current days but his ITO and other kind of experiences will be also excellent addition for the Commission.
ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba asked the affiliated Asian National Federations to continue their programs to prepare well to the next year’s top events as to the Tokyo Olympic Games, the World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event and all of the upcoming ASBC Asian Boxing Championships to introduce our strengths in 2021. The newly established Appointments Fund & Development Commission will be guaranteed the long-term successes of the National Federations.
