Usmon Toshev appointed as FC Bukhara head coach

Usmon Toshev will continue his career in Uzbekistan Super League after he parted ways with Tajikistan national team following the unsuccessful campaign in 2022 World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

The 55-year-old has been appointed as FC Bukhara head coach signing a 4-year contract with the Bukhara side, reports the club’s media department.

Usmon Toshev started his managerial career in Bukhara after completing his career as a footballer in 2000. He was appointed head coach of FC Bukhara, which he headed until 2008. Under the leadership of Toshev, FC Bukhara was one of the "middle peasants" in the Uzbek League. In 2006, he worked for a while at the coaching staff of Uzbekistan national team under the leadership of Russian coach Valery Nepomnyashchy.
