Sabina Sharipova retires due to an injury in Singapore

The 24-year-old struggled with Indian Ankita Raina for a semifinal spot in women’s singles at the Kallang Tennis Centre.

However, Sabina had to retire the game against her doubles partner Ankita at the beginning of the second set due to injury.

Thus, Sabina Sharipova could not partner Ankita Raina for the doubles quarterfinals against the fourth seeds Quirine Lemoine and Arantxa Rus of the Netherlands who went on to make the final.
