Continental Americas Gold belt winner Ruslan Abdullayev is in Tashkent

On April 19, an evening of professional boxing took place in California (USA), where Uzbek boxer Ruslan Abdullaev confidently defeated the Filipino Gino Rodrigo and won the belt “Continental Americas Gold” in super lightweight WBA version.

Today Abdullayev returned to his homeland. He was solemnly welcomed at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov by Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shahrullo Mahmudov, NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov, Secretary General of the Boxing Federation Shokhid Tillaboyev, as well as relatives and friends.

The officials congratulated the athlete on his second victory in the professional ring and wished him further bright achievements on the way to world heights.
