Undefeated super-welterweight Israil Madrimov battles Charlie Navarro

Madrimov will be facing is WBA #10 contender ​Charlie Navarro (29-9, 22), a 40 year old Venezuelan veteran who has previously fought for a world title and currently holds a regional WBA title.

Coming into this Navarro is riding a 4-fight winning run, which has seen him taking the unbeaten records of Damian Rodriguez, then 11-0, and Johan Gonzalez, then 22-0, but it's fair to say that Madrimov is in a totally different league to those two.

Given that Madrimov is ranked #3 by the WBA and Navarro is ranked #10 this is essentially an eliminator, and the winner would certainly be in the mix for a title shot later in the year.
