Uzbekistan powerlifters dominate Manchester World Cup

Manchester once again hosted the world’s finest para powerlifters as they went head-to-head at this crucial qualifier for the rescheduled Tokyo Paralympic Games.

Uzbekistan confirmed their dominance on the Para powerlifting international scene in men’s event at the Manchester 2021 World Cup, finishing top of the medals with 3 golds to take the team title.

Uzbekistan’s Farhod Umirzakov won the up to 88kg, while his countrymen Nuriddin Davlatov and Iskandar Tyrsunbaev took gold medals in the up to 72 and 107kg respectively.

The next stop in the World Cup season will be held in Pattaya, Thailand from 6-9 May.
