FC Andijan promoted to Uzbekistan Super League

Today’s crucial match saw Andijan side earn a come-from-behind victory over FC Istiklol in the thirty-fifth matchday.

Javohir Rasulov opened the scoring for FC Istiklol early minutes of the game as the score remained unchanged at the interval.

After the restart, FC Andijan equalized the scoring as Nodir Mavlonov found back of the net from a free-kick. A few minutes later, Sherzod Kasimov pointed to the spot before FC Istiklol goalkeeper saved the shot. However, the referee made a strange decision that he showed a second yellow card to the goalkeeper, sent him off and allow FC Andijan to retake penalty kick.

The second chance was completed successfully as FC Andijan gained a 2-1 victory over FC Istiklol in front of the home crowd in Soglom Avlod Stadium in Andijan.
