Komiljon Tukhtaev: South Korea and Japan will be the main contenders for prizes
At the upcoming Asian Winter Games Harbin-2025 we have high hopes for our alpine skiers, in particular, for two-time Winter Olympic Games participant Komiljon Tukhtaev. Currently, our athlete is conducting the final stage of training in Italy.
- How are the preparations for the upcoming Harbin-2025 Games going?
- I must say that this is a new level of competition in my profession. Preparation for the competition is going on in full swing. During training, I pay more attention to stability when riding on the track and acceleration in every corner.
- What goals have you set for yourself and what do you expect from Harbin 2025?
- These starts are a good opportunity to get on the podium. However, this is a big sport and it is difficult to predict anything in advance. The main thing for a skier is to complete the course as quickly and without mistakes as possible. An athlete who fulfills these criteria can, of course, secure a medal.
- Who do you consider as a competitor in the fight for a medal?
- I haven't started in the eastern countries for a long time. I have almost no idea about many athletes and their capabilities. But taking into account the development of this sport in the countries, I can note that South Korea and Japan will be the main contenders for prizes.
