Matchroom Boxing stopped working with Daniel Roman

Matchroom Boxing has stopped working with former WBA and IBF champion Daniel Roman. Thompson Boxing, Roman's main promoter, announced this on its Twitter page.

"Matchroom made a decision in regards to the immediate future for Danny Roman and our partnership, and we respect it, but we know Danny’s best fights are yet to come and are very positive about what lays ahead. We never stopped believing in him" - the promotion said on its twitter page.

Roman lost his last fight in 12 round fight with split decision to WBA mandatory challenger Murodjon Akhmadaliev on January 30.
