"Tsaghkadzor Open": the tournament in which the chess players from Uzbekistan successfully participated has come to an end

The Armenian Chess Academy is holding a competition in Yerevan, the capital, in cooperation with the International Chess Academy. The international tournament called "Tsaghkadzor Open" ended today. It is noteworthy that a number of our representatives participated in this tournament and recorded high results.

Chess players with rating points above 2000 took part in the tournament divided into "A" and "B" groups. In addition, chess players who did not have 2000 points were able to participate in the "A" group for an additional fee.

We remind you that both tournaments were held in the Swiss system, consisting of 9 rounds in accordance with FIDE rules.

Our 14-year-old chess player Sadullo Azizov, who participated in "A" group, took 41st place with 4.5 points.

Rauf Kasimov, who took part in "B" group, finished the table as the leader, scoring 7.5 points. Aram Kasparov, who has 7 points, occupies the 3rd place.

Temur Shavkatov, who took part in competitions in the U-12 age group, beat all his competitors and won the 1st place. He managed to earn 6.5 points during 9 rounds.




It should be noted that Asilbek Abdulazizov, who participated in "B" group, became the chess player with the most rating points in his group (129.2).



Thus, another tournament in which Uzbekistan chess players participated ended on a high note.
