
U-23 Uzbekistan arrive in Tashkent after they become M-150 Cup 2017 winners
Uzbekistan under-23s national football team arrived in Tashkent after they successfully finished their campaign in the M-150 Cup 2017 International Football Tournament in Buriram, Thailand.
The White Wolves faced Myanmar and Vietnam in the group stage as they earned four points before they struggled with Japan in the final match.
Zabikhillo Urinboev scored two goals, but the score was 2-2 after two 45-minute periods, while it turned for the penalty shoot-out. Uzbekistan’s keeper blocked the ball before the crossbar stopped another attempt from Japanese side when Uzbekistan gained the championship.
Today, the White Wolves arrived in Tashkent as the champions were welcomed by the officials of the Uzbekistan Football Federation, relatives of the players, fans and media representatives at the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.
UFF Vice President Shoakrom Israilov noted that this result is the beginning of great victories and these players should work together to achieve the success of the team in the upcoming tournaments.
