U-23 Uzbekistan shock FC Nasaf with a 3-0 win in Karshi

Uzbekistan national under-23s football team stunned FC Nasaf in a friendly match which was held at the Karshi Central Stadium on Friday.

Ravshan Khaydarov’s side take the lead earlier as Andrey Sidorov find back of the net just six minutes after the kick-off. A 58-minute strike from Bobir Abdikholikov increases the scoring for the White Wolves. In the second-period stoppage time, Doston Khamdamov fired home as he added the third for U-23 Uzbekistan.

In the framework of the preparation for the U-23 AFC Championship 2018, Uzbekistan will organize another trial match against FC Nasaf on Saturday afternoon.

Head coach Ravshan Khaydarov talked to the media after a successful game of his guys: “We are using our chances to try tactics and strategic plans with these friendly matches ahead of AFC Championship, which will take place in China in January 2018. Friendlies are very helpful to test player’s potential which makes us able to make a correct decision while we are picking up players for the final squad.”
