Uzbekistan's chess championship is in full swing

Uzbekistan's chess championship among schoolchildren aged 7-17 is being held in the “Universal” sports complex in Andijan. It involves 840 young chess players from all regions of our country.

As a result of the 4th round of the championship Khondamir Elmirzaev is leading with 4 points. He is followed by Asrorjon Omonov, Akbarali Abdukhakimov, Sayyid Usmon Shamsuddinov and Shakhrombek Karimov, who have 3.5 points each. 

The 5th and 6th rounds of the national championship will be held today. The competition is held under the Swiss system, which consists of 9 rounds.
