WBA IBF unified champion Akhmadaliev receives a heroic welcome in Tashkent

Akhmadaliev edged Daniel Roman to secure a pair of 122-pound titles in a terrific affair Thursday evening at Meridian at Island Gardens in Miami, Florida. 

He improved to 8-0 (6KOs) with the win, joining former World heavyweight champion Leon Spinks as the quickest in history to become a unified titlist.

The 25-year-old backed home as he received a heroic welcome at the Tashkent International Airport.
