Uzbek fencers awarded a bronze medal in the 2019 Asian Juniors and Cadets Fencing Championships in Jordan

34 countries in Asia and Oceania are representing in the competition, which features a total of 24 events, 12 events for cadets and 12 events for juniors.

In cadet sabre event, Uzbekistan’s Sherzod Mamutov advanced to the semifinal beating his compatriot Bobur Rasulov. On the way to final, Mamutov received a 12-15 defeat from Japanese Tsubo Hayato and awarded a bronze medal.

In team sabre event, Uzbekistan claimed a bronze medal after they lost to South Korea in the semifinals.
