Yeltsin Cup 2017. Uzbekistan's Sergey Fomin and Croatian Roko Savin finished their campaign in the quarter-finals
Uzbekistan’s Sergey Fomin started his participation successfully in men’s doubles in International tennis tournament “Yeltsin Cup” being held in Tennis Academy of Kazan since February 20.
Fomin and his mate Croatia-based Roko Savin managed to win Russian duo Nikita Kashirin and Ivan Ponomarenko with 4-6, 6-4, [10-7] score in the opening match of the tournament.
In the next round, they faced off another Russian duet Sergey Bolotov and Ilgiz Valiev and secured a victory in the last set/tiebreak which named the winners of the match after a draw in the previous two sets.
However, Fomin and Savin failed to earn the semi-finals ticket after lost both sets with 6-3, 6-3 score in the quarter-final match.
