Nodirbek Abdusattarov, Shamsiddin Vahidov, jahovir Sindarov and Nodirbek Yakubboev will take part in the "FIDE World Cup 2023" with a prize fund of 1.9 million.
From July 30 to August 24, Baku, Azerbaijan, will host the "FIDE World Cup 2023", which is considered one of the most prestigious chess competitions in the FIDE classification. Uzbek chess players Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Shamsiddin Vahidov, Jahovir Sindarov and Nodirbek Yakubboev will also perform at this tournament.
The prize fund of the tournament, which involves 206 of the world's strongest chess players, is $ 1.9 million, and the winner receives $ 110 thousand. Also, the top 3 chess players will be eligible to participate in the 2024 World Crown Contenders tournament.
Participants from the top 50 of the FIDE rating, such as Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, Fabiano Caruana, as well as Nodirbek Abdusattorov, will start the competition directly from the 2nd round.
The tournament is held in classical chess according to the elimination system, with 2 games at each stage. If the forces are equal, they resort to additional arguments in the direction of high speed.
