Uzbek athletes finish third at the Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships 2019

Uzbekistan’s athletes were crowned in the competition with a total of 7 medals and 54 points. Uzbek athletes recorded two gold, one silver and four bronze medals, winning the first gold medals in the history.

Iranian team won the title for the first time in their history. The powerhouse South Korea finished runner-up by earning two gold, two silver and three bronze medals (62 points). Uzbekistan came third with 54 points.

Ulugbek Rashitov (-55 kg) and Jasur Jaysunov (-68 kg) beat all their opponents earning gold medals, while Azizjon Uktamov (-48 kg) lost the final and claimed a silver medal.

Abdulaziz Hamidullayev (-63 kg), Marat Mavlonov (-78 kg), Feruza Sodikova (-63 kg) and Ozoda Sobirjonova (-55 kg) took the third place and were awarded bronze medals.
