Uzbekistan national judo team has concluded Paris Grand Slam 2017 with only silver medal

International Judo Federation organized Grand Slam Paris 2017 on February 11 and 17 as a start of the IJF World Judo Tour 2017.

Uzbekistan national judo team also participated in this competition with a full squad in all weight classes. However, this year’s judo tour started with a bit unlucky campaign for Uzbekistan side where they concluded the French show with only one silver medal in two-day-long the world-famous Paris tournament, which earned Grand Slam status in 2009, was brought to an explosive finale at the Accor Hotels Arena, Paris.

Uzbekistan’s Sharoffiddin Lutfillaev (-60kg) earned the first and the last medal for the national team before he lost to Japanese Naohisa Takato by Ippon score in the final step to secure a gold medal.

Uzbekistan team has finished the Grand Slam Paris 2017 at the seventh place of the table with Mongolia who has the same silver medal.
