Akbar Juraev: Gold medal achieved through only hard work and luck

Akbar Juraev won the men's 109kg weightlifting gold with an Olympic Record of 430kg. The Uzbek's snatch lift was 193kg, with the clean and jerk an Olympic record of 237kg.

After his greatest achievement, Akbar Juraev shared his impressions and feelings with the media in Tokyo.

"The excitement is great. First, I would like to thank our President. I would also like to thank all those who supported me. I dedicate this victory to the 30th anniversary of our country's independence. I will do my best to win a gold medal at the Paris Olympics."
