Beatriz Ferreira wins Uzbek Raykhona Kodirova in the quarterfinals and secures a medal in boxing in Tokyo

2017 AIBA World Championships gold medalist Beatriz Ferreira overcame Uzbek Raykhona Kodirova and advanced to the semifinal of boxing in the lightweight category, ensuring at least the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games. The scoreboard pointed to a victory for the Brazilian by 5-0.

Favorite for the fight, Beatriz went up from the first seconds of the initial round, being recognized as the winner of the partial by the five judges. The Brazilian continued aggressive in the second round, winning a new victory in the fight.

Finally, Beatriz continued to land good blows, without giving the Uzbek a chance. Once again being superior in the judges' accounts, the Brazilian built the overall score from 5 to 0.
