Israil Madrimov decisions Eric Walker, wins in final world title eliminator

Uzbek super welterweight contender Madrimov went the distance and won 116-111, 116-110 (2x) by UD.

The 25-year old Madrimov proved effective from both sides, landing combinations with both hands that Walker managed to ride out after sliding back his head just enough to avoid an early night.

A left hook by Madrimov dropped Walker heavily but referee failed scoring knockdown or knockout explaining that the punch was clean but his shoulder and forward body momentum called the fall.

After the time UD-win Madrimov improved (6-0, 5KOs) and now a mandatory challenger for WBA world title as Eric recieved his 3rd defeat failing to 20-3.

"“The fight was tougher than I expected,” Madrimov admitted afterward. “I was trying to hard to go for the knockout which I thought I had in the ninth round. It was a good learning experience.” - said Madrimov after the fight.
