Odil Ahmedov: No way to lose to Australia

Hector Cuper's side will struggle with Australia for a quarterfinal spot at the Sheikh Khalifa International Stadium on Monday.

Ahead of the crucial match, White Wolves' captain Odil Akhmedov shared his opinion with the media.

"We played against Japan well enough, but the defeat was not fair since it is always unpleasant in any game.

The preparation for the upcoming Australia clash is going on with a high effort in a great environment in our camp. We have to go ahead and advance to the next stage beating Australia. Because there is the only chance which is to win the game on Monday.

Certainly, it is not easy to claim a victory over the reigning champions of AFC Asian Cup since the Socceroose are a strong team. But I think we can easily move forward getting out of the Australian barrier with a great enthusiasm. We always feel that all Uzbekistan are supporting us. And, it gives us a lot of energy. In this situation, there is no way to lose!" said Odil Akhmedov.
