Weightlifting: Diyorbek Ermatov - world champion

Uzbekistan's national team won another medal at the World Youth Weightlifting Championships held in the Spanish city of Leon. Our compatriot Diyorbek Ermatov (-89kg) won the highest medal.

The Uzbek weightlifter showed the best result in the snatch (162 kg) and climbed to the first step of the podium. Unfortunately, Ermatov was a little unlucky in the snatch (186kg), in which he took fifth place, and fourth in the total of two exercises (348kg).
